We live in a world, inside a box now. We select our feelings from a menu of five options, we either like or love a thing, it’s either funny, sad or it makes us angry.

We are all performers on a stage, creating content that allow us to be whoever we want to be. We are brave behind the masks we wear, making sure our glorified opinions are heard, we argue about arguing…

On stage we are wonderful, we are rehearsed and we execute and design our lives in alternate dimensions. We applaud one another until we realize another life situation looks better than our own and then we troll endlessly, secretly waiting for a fall from grace…

This has become our reality…

I am no stranger to delusion and I accept my role and I say my words, and when the lights go out and the crowd is pleased, I light a cigarette in the dark, and watch the smoke blow into an empty soundless sky…

This is my world.

I am part of the madness, I feed it, I endure it, I welcome it and I despise it but it’s my world, and I will not forget my lines because there may be a woman like me, watching, who cannot learn the words. So I say them each night on stage for her and I hope I make her cry, so that for a moment, she can escape the madness and remember what it feels like to feel anything at all…
